I guess I can no longer slack.

Today it is official. I've sold the slacker.com domain. The whois information is half-way transferred and the website will probably "go dark" within the next 24 hours. I've set up shop at macnugget.org for my personal site and notslacker.com for the rest of the folks who have been using slacker.com for their own stuff.

Among other things please start emailing me at nugget@macnugget.org now. Jabber is at that address too.

A link or two to my new macnugget site would be great. It'll be a long, tough road to rebuild that great google pagerank that slacker.com enjoyed.

With 11 years of inertia behind the old domain I fully expect the next week to be a royal pain in the ass as I find all the little places where I've hard-coded the domain into config files. Please let me know if you see any problems or weirdness or misconfigurations from your end.

slacker.com sale Mini-FAQ:

Wow, I thought you'd never sell slacker.com
Yeah, me too.

Who bought it?
A startup company that's running "under the radar" who have asked me to be quiet about their plans for the domain.

So how much?
That's sort of vulgar to discuss. Let's just say it was enough to get me to sell, but not enough that I don't have a little twinge of regret.
